Dear Neycole, With your sign off, "Lots of Aloha", it made me realize that you are "Cole" that use to make me laugh in the Mormon chat room, am I right? (I am VegasLDS in the chat room). I am so very, very sorry to hear about the hurt you are suffering and things you have had to endure. What happened to you and what you are going through right now reminds me of a true story I heard in R.S. one day many months ago, that I have told to several people and have also had to remind myself of at times. I too have had my feelings hurt by someone very active in church that should have known better, not once but on several occasions and like you, I too didn't got to church, at least for awhile. But then I finally realized that the only one I was hurting by not attending my meetings was ME, but please read on for the true story: One day, a man and his very large family walked to church. One of his little daughters was sick with something contagious, (measles or chicken pox I think). Anyways, when the sacrament was being passed around, and the bishop saw the sick little girl partake of the sacrament, he stood up and announced for the sacrament to be brought back in because it was now contaminated! He wanted fresh bread to be put in it's place!! The man with the sick child stood up and took his family and walked out of the church. Needless to say he was extremely humiliated and VERY angry!!! He told his family they were to walk home in silence and nobody was to speak until he had decided what they were going to do. When they got home, he told the family to all kneel in a circle in the living room and not speak. (This was how they always had family prayer). After awhile, tears started streaming down his face and he started to speak. He said that they belonged to the LORDS church. This was NOT that bishops church and the bishop, being human was at fault but that wouldn't keep them away from the Lords church. He said the next week they were to go back to church and hold their heads up high and hear the messages the Lord has for them to learn and not let any human making a bad choice keep them away. This man had a very large family, and they in turn all had very large families. Because of this one fathers choice to stay active in the Lords church, literally HUNDREDS of his descendants are now active. True story!!!!! Cole, I had a bishop tell us just a few years ago that in these latter days, Satan will be working extra hard to try to turn the hearts of all of us away from the Lord. He will EVEN turn the hearts of some of the apostles. Never the prophet though, and the MAJORITY of the apostles will stay true to the Lord. We must always follow the prophet and the majority of the apostles. There will be many in authority who will be making bad choices and saying and doing things they shouldn't, but we must endure to the end. Only YOU are responsible for your own salvation. Please, please get down on your knees and pray to the Lord for the strength that you need to ignore the rumors and return to His church. The Lord loves you very much, and so do I. Love, Donna P.S.
