Fellow LDS researchers: What's a good answer for our non-member friends and family when they ask, "Why are you interested in helping me with my research?" My answer was, "Just look around you at all the incomplete families you know, then look at all the complete families you know -- which produces, on a regular basis, a stable and more secure offspring with their feet on a firm foundation? I feel that by going deeper into my family history, I know that much more about "who I am" and "Where I come from" and this gives me a better foundation on which to build "where I'm going". By my posterity knowing who their progenitors were, they can't help but have their feet placed more firmly on the ground and this encourages them to continue to build stable and secure families, with a firm footing, who know who they are." I'm wondering if any of you have any additional suggestions. Please advise.
