Linda There are several places in and around Salt Lake that are very reasonable. We will be going down there ourselves the same week. If you want to email me, I can give you a list of reasonable places to stay. Sue sbarnsley@sprint.ca
I would appreciate some input on scanning in these forms as an image from someone familiar with this stuff. This morning I tried...and did it wrong, as when I tried to check it in Word (pulled the image up and tried to print it out) the message came back that I didn't have enough memory--and we just got a new computer with 128 megs. I guess I need help... Hi Dianna, Did you try opening it in to a program that opens photographs? This is probably what you will have to do as the computer sees it as a picture. Send me the scanned version and I will play too :-) Dianne
Hi All, Just wanted to say if you receive a removal form the list it is because your server refused your mail. I have gotten several bounce messages today so watch out!! You can either sign back up or write me to get back on the list. This happens from time to time. Servers get fickle :-) Dianne

The Plaza hotel is next to the FHL and seems to attract a lot of people doing genealogy. One block away is a Marriott, two blocks away is a Shilo Inn, a Wyndham Hotel, and a Doubletree Hotel. These would all be about 1 1/2 - 2 miles from the U of U campus. If you have an extra day, you might want to visit the genealogy library at Everton Publishers, Inc. in Logan, Utah (Publishers of Everton's Genealogical Helper). It is about 80 miles north of SLC. We have about 45,000 genealogy books for research. If you would like directions, please let me know. - Lee At 04:54 AM 8/11/98 -0500, you wrote: >I am going to SLC on 8-22 and returning home on 8-27. Dear Robert; If you want a place to stay near the FHC the best would be the Best Western Plaza Hotel (Formerly Howard Johnson's). I would rent a car. There is a bus system, but the Light Rail system is currently under construction, (a fact that may frustrate you while in SLC). Also, our Freeways are under re-construction. Welcome to UTAH! I am going to SLC on 8-22 and returning home on 8-27. I was wondering if any one knows of a nice resonable price place to stay. I am going to take my dau to U of U. she will be a freshman there. i plan to stay in the SLC area between some shopping for supplies and the university and the FHC. Will I need to rent a car or is there public transportation? ____ Linda Harris 1872 Regents Park Ct Marietta GA 30062 770 578-0105 Researching in eastern NC and VA and southern PA

Hello, I have seen the name CURRY many times in the two or three weeks since I wandered my way onto the list, and every time I have wondered who, what, and where.... My aunt married Tom Curry and they lived in the Blackfoot area (ID) for many years. Now most of their family (they have nine kids? - forgive me, bad excuse, but it is very late and I don't feel like pulling out the books), anyway, they are mostly in Utah now. Any possibility that they might be your CURRY's? Heidi
(Turtle...) Thanks for the tip (www.ancestry.com..... etc.). I WILL!

I want to thank u for sending this out, I cant thank u enough. You people do such a good job, and I'm very thankful. Thank you, Michele
Annette: I'm picking up the email of everyone that's asking for the forms...pretty funny...maybe I should send them to YOU and let you send them out? <Grin> For everyone requesting forms: These are NOT copyrighted forms, so it's fine for me to send everyone a copy. It may take a couple days, so be patient with me. My husband is home on vacation and uses the computer that I have to use the scanner with. For those of you who are on the Internet, there is a site full of forms to use for research at http://www.genrecords.com/ These are free and may be reproduced freely. You need Acrobat Reader to access them but you can download it free also. That is easy to do so don't let that scare you off. The best form on the list is the individual census form. You make one for each person you are researching and it has space for information from all census forms from 1790-1910. (2 pages long) There are also research logs for cemeteries, marriage records from courthouses, etc. Lots of info on other things too. Just go to the site and click on "freebies". If there is anyone that is not on the Internet that wants copies of these, e-mail your postal address privately to the address below and I will try and get copies made to send you. Or ask a friend who has Internet access to print off a copy for you. Kathie Mitchell kvmitchell@msn.com
Hi Dianna, If you send them to me I will put them on the list and all can enjoy at the same time. Dianne
I would also like the material. Thank you Jeanie <A HREF="Mailto:Wilsongrma@aol.com">Wilsongrma@aol.com</A>
