Concerning safety when visiting the Albany County Hall of Records: 1. It is on South Pearl Street. 2. It is located in what was formerly a shopping plaza. 3. Also located at that site is the NYState Department of Motor Vehicles and the Albany county health department. 4. It is across the street from an elementary school. 5. It is a few blocks from the main police station. 6. It is not a dangerous or threatening place to go to. 7. I have been there on a weekly basis for several years and have never experienced or observed any problem. 8. Certainly, you would lock your car, just as you would in any parking facility. 9. I see no difference in safety there than at the NYS museum or the Main Branch of the Albany Public Library. Barbara boh@Albany.Net
