The hospital is not yet closed. The Rt. 9 facility has been purchased by a private developer who will not take possession for approx one year. At present, the State of NY is remodeling a bldg in a different Poughkeepsie location in order to house the "violent" patients. All others are being relocated. The office staff is still at the Rt. 9 location, so all genealogical inquiries should be addressed there.
