It is listed with the same numbers such as "order of visitation" & etc. I believe it is an extraction of the original census but nothing is stated on the film that it is an extraction rather than the original. The handwriting is similar but different. It looks like the official census record at first reading. I've noticed other differences in the recording between my niece's copy and mine. Also on my film, the second ward has been written over and it's almost impossible to read the writing. I'm interested in researching that ward too. There's no explanation forthcoming from local LDS volunteers here. Has anyone had this experience with LDS films? Mary L. Casey in Michigan >> Hi Mary , and the list , I believe you are really looking at a copy of the Copy of The Census ..... Many people do not know there are / was Two Copies of every census made , One was kept by the state and the other was sent to the Census Bureau , These copies were made ( required to be ) by the Asst` Marshal , And I would emagine ' errors ' were made while this copy work was being done ..... It is quite possible that the LDS filmed both copies at different times , And you have a copy of both of them !! , Phil ..... maybe Charles S. on NYC ROOTS -L.. has a different slant on this !! I am sending him a cc of this note ....
