I am looking for my Greatgrandfather James M. Forrest, born October 1,1840. I have his death certificate and all information is listed "unknown" I found a reference to a New York State Marriage in the Maritime Church in New York, the reference of the wedding of James Forrest and Freelove Westcott in 1838. I'm jumping at straws here thinking 1838 and 1840 might have some significance. Does anyone have any information on either party of of the Maritime Church? Any help will be appreciated.
