    3. Does anyone know anything about the following people buried next to one another in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish? Ford, Jemima wife of Richard Ford d. May 1841 Avery, William 75 yr. d. Feb. 13 1849 his wife- Jemima Avery 1778 - 1862 WIlliam & Jemima Ford Avery were both born in Connecticut and moved to Duanesburg & montgomery Co., New York, before settling in Parish, Oswego Co. in 1818. I have a possible lineage for Jemima from a book on descendants of the New England immigrant Matthew Ford, that includes a Richard & Jemima Ford who had a daughter named Jemima at the right time, but no marriage is listed. William Avery and Jemima Ford had a son born 7 May 1809 named Richard Ford Avery. The fact that Richard is not buried with his wife and the fact that Richard Ford Avery was born before the Avery's came to Oswego, supports the theory that Richard & Jemima Ford couple in the cemetery came from elsewhere too -- probably, Richard died first and William & Jemima brought her widowed mother with them to Oswego County? Thanks for any help!! Mark A. Wentling
