My theory holds that they removed to another town or state where his surname was differently spelled for his surname by different record clerks. Have you searched for baptismal records "1717" under spelling variants: Kortright, Kortregt, Kortrecht, Cortrecht, Cutright? Perhaps you would write a letter to Ulster County Genealogical Society? No I have not Jean. I do know that Hendrick and Elizabeth moved to Virginia and that is where they stayed till death, but they were married in New York and had their Chidren in NY.
