Hi all you helpful people. The tid bits of information that you folks seem to generate are endless. I'm hoping that you folks could help me to explain the following: Thomas and Sarah Ormandy got married in Åugust 1845 in London England. They had 3 children that were born in England. They moved to Utica, NY and had a duaghter, Victoria Ormandy born in 1851. In 1852, Thomas and Sarah then got remarried in Rome NY on June 13, 1852. Does anyone know why a family would do this remarriage thing in the mid-1850's? Was this a common practice? Thank you in advance Kathy Sadler
