I have an off shoot of our family in the USA and I can't seem to tie him and his family into the family back home in Lancashire/Cumberland so.... I was hoping somebody could please help me - possibly from the other side of the pond. I have in the USA: Joseph Grisenthwaite (died 18 April 1940) married Mary "Doe". Their son William Grisenthwaite was born 11 December 1882 in Lockport New York USA and died 22 January 1958 in Oneida New York USA. His spouse, Maude Robbins and he were Married in 1908 - she died in 1951. They had 4 children: Lincoln James Grisenthaite born 29 June 1911 Niagara Falls New York Orville Grisenthwaite born 29 April 1913 Niagara Falls New York Vivian Grisenthwaite Edith Grisenthwaite (The tree goes on with their children but I don't want to drag it out). I am trying to find out when Joseph Grisenthwaite went overseas, with which boat, was his wife English or was she somebody he met over there? So far there is no record of a Social Security number for him although we have come up with some information on his son William and I also have SS# for Lincoln and Orville: William & Maude in Madison County, New York Directories 1922 - Last Name/Business First name/Wife/Occupation or Business Product/Town.
