There is a Leander J. Lockwood in the 1820 and 1830 census index for Elizabethtown, Essex Co., NY. Does anyone recognize this man? Is he somehow related to Thankful (Rice) Foster, who named a son Leander Lockwood Foster? Thanks for any clues. Joann Nichols jnichols@sover.net
