I am seeking information for JACOB GOMMENGINGER, immigrated from Germany, but have no idea as to the date. Know he lived in Rochester in 1857. His spouse was Mary Hays (Hayes?) who was born in Rochester. Their daughter, Emma Gommenginger (my grandmother) married Joseph (Josiah) A. Hayes on May 1, 1886. His birth location is listed on one form as Canada and on another as Ontario County, NY. Joseph's parents were Richard Hays (Hayes) and Agnes Kitcher.
