Hi..I found some new info on my Davis line and wanted to put it out there to see if anyone can help.... Joseph Davis born Liberty Sullivan County NY circa 1842. He enlisted in Co. G 143rd NY volunteers.. Married Lucinda Jacoby born 1843 in Lumberland Sullivan county, NY. They married between 1865 and 1868. At some point they go to Hancock, Delaware County, NY and have 6 children Estella born circa 1868 Michael 1870-Dec 9, 1894 Martin born Feb 25, 1871 George born Dec. 19, 1873 Clarence July 9, 1876 William b. July 3, 1877 Lucinda Jacoby Davis died July 3, 1878 most likely Hancock, Delaware, NY. Clarence married Lena M. Downs and had 2 children: Cecil Ray and Ethel May. My question: NY started keeping records in 1880..is there any way to find anything( obit etc) for Lucindas death in 1878? Thank you! Michele Lockwood
