Recently, I discovered that the family of my ancestor SAMUEL WELLS was originally from Long Island. He came to Bradford Co., PA about 1792. I'm trying to find out where he was born and was told the family migrated to Wallkill, Orange Co., NY from L.I. It was posted to another list that there were papers donated to the Historical Society in Orange County regarding L.I. families.
