Dear New York & Northeast Research Friends, I sent this post out to the general list a week ago and then as I continued the work on another large book for the site I realized I never sent this to some of the state lists which might very easily find connections as in each of these old books, there are virtually hundreds of references to the Northeast and many other areas that the Livingston County people and Ingham County People came from. If you happen to have one of the individuals in the P & B book I am doing now, man you will strike it rich as many have full family pedigree charts listed. > >Well, it has taken 6 months or so but I think you will find this overhaul >well worth the wait. I shredded every page of the http://www.LivGenMI.com >web site including the 1895 atlas and loads of new research stuff. > >Sadly for those of you who were using the six minute loading time of the >front page to do that extra cycle in the washer, there is no more time for >that now as it loads in less than a minute. Everything that was spread all >over in no particular order has been placed on subject pages for easier >researching. > >New items include the 1880 county history - COMPLETE!! , over 4,000 marriage >records with lots more to come. We will also be adding birth and death >notations from the index books to further help your research. > >The cemetery residence index has been totally redone with links directly to >the cemetery in question. Still lots to do on this section as eventually I >will have photos of as many of the tombstones in all of the cemeteries in >the county as possible. > >I am currently scanning & coding the 1891 Portrait & Biographical Album for >Ingham & Livingston Counties, Michigan. I have a long way to go but have >about 200 pages done....I have also created an index of all the names for >this also. Because I have realized all the diverse town names also included in this 700+ page book I will also be adding a locations index too. > >Tons of new research tips, the Howell FHC site has been redone with lots >more help there..... the cemetery pages have been redone and eventually >there will be more records on-line in that vein also. > >Well if you had anyone who could have either come to or passed through this >area, please stop by and take a look. Amazing the amounts of counties from >lots of states that are referenced in the new works. > >If you still find a glitch or too, be patient...I think I have gotten them >all out, but there may still be a small problem here or there. Many thanks >go out to my able assistant Dianne Richards, Ginger for graphics especially >my flag, and a dozen or so others who sent me extra infor to share with you >researchers in this area. > > >http://www.LivGenMI.com Home of the 1895 atlas > >http://www.ChaseNEgw.com Home of the 1891 Shippers Dispatch Gazatteer > >If you use any of the above or any of the hundreds of bits of information I >have put on the net for you.....Your Obligation is to complete your "Hug >Homework"! > >Pam - List Lady prietsch@ismi.net
