Looking for information on Lena Julia Shaw, b. abt.1858-1860. According to info given on the census by others, she was b. in Canada, but she has given various birthplaces on other documents. She has given Buffalo, NYC, and Jersey City, NJ as places of birth. She was m. in Boston in 1886, but there is no record of her or her husband in Boston prior to the marriage, so it's possible they both passed through NY on the way to Boston. Are there city directories available for Buffalo and NYC for the period 1880-1886? The only other thing I can think to check is the 1880 census and there are so many Shaws on it I wouldn't know where to start! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
