Looking for information my suspected 2nd and 3rd Great Grandparents. Jesse EVERETT, son of a MA Rev. War veteran, Richard EVERETT was in NH for the 1830 census and then appears in Steuben Co. in Troupsburg for the 1840 census and in Wheeler, Steuben Co, for the 1850, 1855 and 1860 census, at which time he was 76 years old (this proves a genealogical theory called conservation of age,... read below) and married to a Sally, 78 years old and born in MA. in the houshold were Levi EVERETT, apparently his son, and his wife Caroline. For the 1855 census, Jesse and Sally EVERETT are in the houshold of Levi EVERITT and Caroline, Levi is listed as the child of Jesse. Also, listed are Elson? son of Levi, and Samuel N. 36 m, apparently the son of Jesse and Sally EVERITT. Only 8 houses distant, are listed my suspected ggg Grandparents, Lewis Clark "Luke" EVERITT, (1855) 35 m b. Steuben Sarah A. (BORDEN?) 34 f wife b. Yates William L. 11 m Sarah M. (My gg Grandmother Sarah Jennie EVERITT?) 9 f Sally I 6 f Lydia A. 3 f and Anthony Comm? 59 m b. Montgomery Co. I believe Sarah BORDEN EVERETT may have been the daughter of Peter BORDEN of the town of Milo, Yates co. in the 1825 and 1830 census, or perhaps Cornelius BORDEN of the 1825 census in Barrington, Yates Co. One of the mysteries with this EVERETT family is the birth places of Levi and Lewis Clark EVERETT, listed as Steuben and NY State in various census, ... if they are the sons of Jesse EVERITT of NH, they should have been born in NH.
