Hi, I'm hoping to have a little time to do some research in Albany next week. Can anyone tell me how the records are organized at the NYS Archives? Is there any sort of name index, or are records organized just by date? If there are name indexes, do I need to search year by year? I have *no* idea how this is set up. I won't have much time, we're just passing through on our way to NYC, so I might have a few hours. Anything I should know before heading there?
