My 82 yr. old grandfather told me reently that our ancestors bought property in Bowling Green/Battery Park ( in the southern tip of Manhattan Island,) New York prior to the revolutionary war. They left because British were coming and Bought property and Settled in Albany for some years. I was wondering if any of you know anything about Bowling Green/Battery Park.
