Passenger lists of ships arriving at New York during this period are available on microfilm published by the National Archives as Series M237. See their online microfilm catalog at http://www.nara.gov/genealogy for the correct roll number for this date. Check a few days before and after the nominal date - the official date of arrival is usually different than the day the passengers stepped off the boat. You may be able to borrow this film via Interlibrary Loan at a public library. If not, you can rent it at a local Family History Center (they will have their own catalog number for it).
