Or how complete it claims to be? And for those who think they had an ancestor in the civil war who either doesn't appear on a unit's 'muster roll', remember that they still might have served. Of the 3 CW soldiers who service I've looked at in detail, only one appears on a muster 'in' roll , and none are on the muster out rolls. [one died, one was dropped from the rolls, and one had his term expire before the Reg. was mustered out]. jim
