(These are not original records, but family info contributed by individuals who have paid the fee to have their ancestor's name(s) inscribed on the wall.) See: http://www.wallofhonor.com/ You are probably referring to the joint project whereby volunteers at Family History Centers are extracting the names from Passenger Lists of vessels arriving at New York during the period of operation of Ellis Island (beginning approx 1892). Although scheduled for completion in 2000, remember that this is a volunteer operation so don't hold your breath. (Additional volunteers and of course donations are always welcome.)
