    2. Hi You all! Just returned from New York and did reserch at the Albany Archives. Where I spent $11 each for 16 birth and death records. OUCH to my thinning wallet. But the lady I paid was very thank full that I put the index number on the record i requsted. In doing so I'm suppose to get the records in two weeks. She said they are so back logged with request by mail that it can take from two months to two years for a reply. Sorry for the bad news on the two years. But I can under stand the delay, it took me the hole day to go through the birth and death records to find the ones I did get. If I didn't do this myself someone at the Archives would have to do it and that's why it may take up to two years they just don't have enough personal to handle all the letters they are getting.
