Hello all, The Italian Genealogical Group is pleased to announce that there is now a new searchable database up on our web site. Naturalization Records for the Southern District Court of NY http://www.italiangen.org/default.stm (then click on the "DATABASES" button) This database contains over 300,000 records (it will eventually grow to over half a million). It contains the index to naturalization records for the years 1926 to 1950. It covers both Manhattan and the Bronx. This index was only made possible with the hard work of many volunteers. It's their way of giving something to the genealogical community. This makes the 4th database that is now on the IGG web site. We also have the indexes to naturalization records in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Military Camps of the Greater NY area. A database of this size is *very* slow to access so be patient when you access it.
