Registered as a New York State Historic Site located near Beach Road (near Route 32) on the western shore of the Hudson River in Saugerties, NY is the Burhan Family cemetery. Jacob Burhan was a soldier in the Netherlandish Army. He settled in Wiltwyck (now known as Kingston), NY in 1660. He was a founding member of the Dutch Reform Church in Kingston, NY.
