I have been having a problem in trying to get a place and date of death for the first wife of Seth Allen [Seth was born 1703, died 1790 possibly in Charlotte, Dutchess, NY.] The first wife, Elizabeth Butler, was born 1707 in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA and died before 04 Oct 1741 Mass/NY/?, when Seth re-married to Anne Whitely on 04 Oct 1741 in Charlotte, Dutchess, NY. The last time I received information it was from Quaker records which I do not have access to. Perhaps the information I need on Elizabeth Butler is in Quaker records - or not? Has anyone done research on this particular phase of the Allen/Butler/Whitely families? Does anyone have information on the death of Elizabeth Butler Allen, from any source?
