I have a copy of "New York Alien Residents 1825-1848," compiled by Kenneth Scott and Rosanne Conway, would be happy to do look-ups upon request. The book is a listing of persons intending to become citizens, but holding land prior to the accomplishment of naturalization. Because they were not yet citizens, the law would not allow them to bequeath or convey, or inherit land until they were naturalized. A law was enacted in April of 1825 allowing those who so registered as intending to naturalize, to safeguard those rights. This book covers some 4,260 registrants, covering the years 1825-1848. The information notated after each name varies, but usually gives information of interest to the genealogist.
