Does the City of New York have a listing of the cemeteries that no longer exist? For example--someone dies in Old New York, 1839; was buried at that time. Where would he be buried? And obviously, as skyscrapers were erected and removals occurred, where were those cemeteries moved? What happened as removals were made prior to excavation for building? Does the Municipal Archives hold those records? Archived to the State? This is a hard question, and I will appreciate ANY help. Jan in California
