I have been surfing the net in an effort to get more information on Maria Hoes, the Mother of Pres. Martin van buren but do not find much on her. The most I found, by using my best search engine, was a relationship chart showing how Martin and his wife Hannah Hoes were related to each other but no where have I been able to find a Hoes/Van Hoesen gen forum; web-page or anything that I could search for more information. Some years ago those of us researching the Boyer family found "information" that states the wife of Johannes Boyer [who seems to be Anna Garter/Gerter/Gerder] was a cousin of Martin Van Buren's Mother. I just recently found out who his Mother was. Has there been extensive research done on the Hoes/Van Hoesen family tree? If the information we have is correct, Ann Garter/Gerter/Gerder was b 03 Jun 1733 in Schenectedy. Olive California
