Could anyone tell me how to go abt find the birth record of my grandfather CLARENCE HUGHTO (HURTEAU, HURTO etc) b. Dec 14, 1899 NYS, probably Franklin Co. Also marriage of his parents ANDREW HUGHTO/HELEN "Nellie" OWENS (we think). Have written to Albany and requested 3 yr search for the HUGHTO spelling with no results. Is there an Index of births, marriages and or deaths for NYS? Thanks for any assistance. Sarah
