My gmother Marguerite Yakel or Yakal born Oct. 1878 in Haverstraw,N.Y. died March 1953 in New Rochelle,N.Y. married to John Martin Larkin born Sept. 1875. Her parents are listed as German born. I need help in finding her parents in Haverstraw and when they came over from Germany. Thanks

Jean, Have you checked the censuses?? What does her death certificate say?? After you find out from the censuses when they "dropped off" you can try the local cemeteries in Westchester. Thanks for answering Maureen. I have had no luck with the census and have not found a death certificate.It took 17 months just to get my fathers info from NY State.That set me back for a long time.
