Clinton; born in Oswego Co., N.Y., Oct. 28, 1822; son of Daniel BIRD, whose ancestors lived in Connecticut and took an active part in the Revolutionary war. The family came West to Michigan in fall of 1837; in 1849, Mr. Amos BIRD moved to La Grange, Walworth Co.; was there till 1867, then moved to Clinton Co*., and settled on a fine farm of 100 acres; he has all improvements, a fine residence, and is in good circumstances. Married, in spring of 1849, Maria STRONG, New York; have had eight children. Mrs. BIRD is a member of the Congregational Church. *Note - I think they mean Clinton Township, not County.
