    3. Thank you, Robert. Yes, the Ide family of Saratoga County and later, Troy is well documented but there is no evidence that my Ides and those Ides are related. I have contacted many of the living Ides in the Troy family with no luck at finding a connection. The two families use several of the same names (Harris, Orrin), but that could simply be a coincidence.
