    2. Ray Brown
    3. In the census section of my web site I just added the 1790 census for Clinton County, New York. This is one of the smaller ones for NY in the 1790 census, only about 375 families listed. All spellings are as published by the Census Burial in 1908. This County is in the North East corner of NY, bordering on Vermont and Canada. http://www.rays-place.com Cheers Ray Brown

    1. James Warren Descendants Maine 1600's
    2. Valerie Austin
    3. I'm trying to locate living male Warren direct descendants of James Warren or Henry B. Warren, son of Adriel Warren, descendant of James Warren of Maine who have family information and/or would join the Warren Project through Family Tree DNA. I've been researching my Warren line for over 20 years and believe we are related to the Adriel Warren line. My mother was Georgia Helen Warren, born in Salina KS in 1919, dau of George Henry Warren b. Kansas 1892, son of David Alexander Warren b. Iowa 1864, son of George Henry Warren b. 1834 Erie Co PA, son of Peletiah Morrell Warren b. ca 1786 Maine, son (I believe) of Adriel Warren b. 1752 in Maine. I believe that Henry B. Warren, born Cazenovia in 1803, (son of Adriel Warren), is the younger brother of Peletiah Morrell Warren. I have been trying to locate any concrete evidence of the connection between Henry and Peletiah and their four sisters whose names are unknown to me. >From review of information known about Adriel Warren, it is unknown >where he was after the 1800 census in Herkimer, NY, where he is shown >with a son and four daughters. He seems to have disappeared as no one >that I'm aware of has documented him anywhere after this 1800 census. >However, I believe I have located him in the 1840 census in Ohio with >his son Peletiah. I believe that Adriel is the father of my Peletiah Morrell Warren. I have not been able to locate Peletiah or Adriel in an 1810 census anywhere in the U.S. (so obviously names must have been misspelled or ommited). Peletiah was old enough to be on his own but I have not been able to locate him in the 1810 census. He married in 1813 to Betsey Benson in Onondaga Co NY and they lived there until at least 1823 when daughter Ann Sophia Warren was born, (with 3 other children born in Onondaga prior to that). I have noted in my research that Henry B. Warren remembered living in Onondaga at some time in his life before leaving home. In the 1820 census for Onondaga, Pompey, Peletiah M Warren is shown,200110101. The 2 males to age 10 would be Adriel Monroe and William Peletiah. The 1 male 16-26 COULD BE Henry B. Warren age 17 at the time. (Note earlier reference that Henry B. stated he had lived in Onondaga) The 1 male 26-45 would be Peletiah Warren. The 1 female to age 10 would be Polly Arestine. The 1 female 16-26 is Betsey Benson Warren. Thus far, no one that I know of has been able to locate Adriel Warren in the 1810, 1820 or 1830 census. I don't have the answer to this. But in 1840, Wayne Co Ohio, Baughman TWP Peletiah Warren appears. We know that he left Onondaga and was on the move after 1823 as he and wife had dau Jane Marie in Pembroke, NY in 1825 and Julia Lorett born in 1831 in Pembroke, Genesee County. In 1831, Temandra Thirza was born in Springfield, Erie, PA and in 1834 George Henry Warren (my gg grandfather) was born in Erie Co PA. In 1838, Loren Lonza was born in Wayne Co, OH. In 1840, Peletiah Warren is found in the Census for Wayne Co, Baughman Twp. There is a male age 80-90 in the HH with his family. I believe this to be Peletiah's father Adriel Warren, who was born in 1752. For the 1850 census, I have found no record of either Peletiah or Adriel, but by 1860, Peletiah's wife Betsey is in Iowa with her daughter and son-in-law (Sayles) in Henry Co Iowa. My gg grandfather, George Henry Warren, is in the same town living with another (Sayles) household. I recently asked my uncle, age 93, and our last surviving male Warren, to do the DNA testing through Family Tree DNA. There are currently 30 members in the Warren DNA Project. This link will take you to the home page http://www.familytreedna.com/. This link will take you to the Warren Project page http://www.familytreedna.com/public/warren/. My uncle's results are shown under Peletiah Morrell Warren...currently after 25 markers, we do not have a match with anyone. I would very much like to locate male direct descendants of Henry B. Warren (or James Warren line) who would join this project and do the DNA testing. My mother passed away in 1982. Her brother age 93, and her two sisters in their 80's are all alive and live in Kansas. It would mean a lot to me after so many years...to be able to tell my uncle and two aunts where their Warren roots started from. Appreciate any replies or leads on this line. 1. Lanctot Parents info need help...
    2. I am racking my brains in trying to figure this out along with criss crossing with all my notes in trying to establish a few details together. First of all I am trying to find the parents of FRANK LANCTOT - Killed by RR Accident in August 1874.. Born in Canada he was between 33-35 years old. He was married to a ELIZABETH PATENAUDE. (When he died they had three children. ) Elizabeth went on to married Alexander Noel on April 24, 1879 at Notre Dame in NY they also had some children. (I do know that Frank's parents were not it was not Francois Esaie Lancto/Lanctot, Sr. and Delia Cardinal. Francois and Delia were married in Dec. 1870..) His son Frank, Jr. from his first marriage was born in 1867 in NY. Nor was it Alfred Lancto/ Lanctot and Clara Freeman.. their Frank was my grandfather in MA.) Just FYI - Elizabeth's mother was also named Elizabeth (Patenaude) who was married to a Charles Landreville. Her parents (Elizabether Patenaude Landerville ) were Alexis Patenaude and Judith Chevalier... Does anyone have any idea where I can begin to get the correct info? Lfelixthekat

    1. Limited offer to check Orange County NY coroners' reports 1905-1950 has been extended
    2. Marty
    3. Happy New Year, all! In mid-November I offered to do lookups of coroners' reports until 31 December 2005. The results were quite encouraging. 35 requests were received, looking for 76 deaths, of which 20 coroners' reports were found. That's a 26.3% success rate, which for this type of death report is excellent. Therefore, I will extend my limited offer until 31 March 2006. Please read the entire offer below before asking for lookups, because the coroners reports only cover "unusual" deaths (see below), and they only cover the years 1905 to 1950. By the way, at least 15 other counties of New York State published "Board of Supervisors Proceedings", though they might have given them different names. If someone is willing to read them page by page they might possibly find coroners' reports in those publications. May you find many of those you seek in 2006! Marty Irons ---------- limited offer (expires 31 March 2006) --------------- From 1905 to 1950 (only) coroners in Orange County NY presented annual reports to the county Board of Supervisors of "unusual" deaths which they had investigated ...deaths like murder, suicide, drowning, hit by a train, kicked by a horse, etc...only cases where a doctor was not present to sign a death certificate. These were published in the "Board of Supervisors Report" for that year. They consist of just one paragraph, which tells who died, when, where and why (cause of death). A handful of them named other relatives. During this 46-year period 6,016 individual reports were published, covering 3,453 different surnames...far too many to post here. This is a valuable resource that was not noticed until a few years ago. They are not death certificates, and give limited information, but they help focus on date and place of death. A volunteer at Orange County Genealogical Society created an index of these reports. I have a copy of the index at home, and can quickly tell if any given name was included. From now until 31 March 2006 I will volunteer to check the index of coroners' reports found in the Orange County (NY) "Board of Supervisors Proceedings", and if the name requested is located, to quote the actual report on this list. Before you request a lookup, remember the parameters: 1. Must have died in Orange County NY. 2. Must have died between 1905 and 1950. 3. Must not have died in a hospital or in the presence of a doctor. 4. Send only name and (approximate) year of death...nothing else, as the index is by name and date of investigation. If found, the index will tell the year and page and I will look up the details (just one paragraph per death). Please, no long-winded explanations...just one line per death, and no "fishing parties" such as "any Smith between 1920 and 1930". If found in the index, I will post the coroner's report to the list. If not found in the index, I will tell you off-list, so as not to waste the time of hundreds of people on the list. So go ahead and send requests if you think someone may have died under unusual circumstances in Orange County NY between 1905 and 1950. I'll try my best for you...until 31 March 2006. Requests received after that date will not be answered. Marty Irons k2mi@frontiernet.net All e-mail scanned by Norton 2005 anti-virus, updated online daily. May all your ancestors YELL at you, telling you how and where to find them. PS: great great grandfather John F IRONS.... b. 1811 "somewhere"....possibly Otsego County NY.... m. 1834 Hartwick, Otsego, NY d. 1854 Cazenovia, Madison, NY.... please stand up on that brick wall and yell out the names I've sought for 12 years....LOUDER! Who were your parents? Were they from RI? Where were you born? Was it Otsego County NY? Did you have a brother named Orlando? Who were your other siblings?
