Hi All, I was just checking the Libex Library Index that I sent you a few days ago. I was looking for a library in Canada and found the one I needed was missing. I found it in this Canadian Library Index which you may want to use as another resource. Canadian Library Gateway ... connecting Canada's libraries http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/gatepasse/index_e.htm I also sent an e-mail to Libex to ask them to add the missing Library Link. Val
I put a lot of information on my website, such as my information on the Iroquois Indians. I however remember to cite the source. I provided a list of good books to read on the American Indian which I got my info from. Or I will say from the Alabama town minutes, or give the exact liber and page of a deed I am talking about. When it comes to history or genealogy a webmaster should look at their web page like a book. They should cite their sources so a person can go look for themself if they wish too. I have been going in circles for a long time looking for the family in Ct and Phila and lacking important information. Now that I know they did not go directly to PA. it may fill in some blanks if I can place them there with documentation. Thyank you for your suggestion I will check on it. Kassie

Hello All I am new to this list and not familiar with New york research so please bear with me. The spelling of The surname Has been found in a few ways. WIGHTMAN< WITMAN<WHITMAN< WEIGHTMAN etc. I have information concerning a Nathan WIGHTMAN b in Groton, New London Ct. in 1780 and lived in Delaware Co. NY, some time between 1812 and 1820-21. The following is what information I have and appreciate any direction to where I should look in NY for records as it is quite possible that the family moved in and out of Ny after the 1810 census and before the 1820. I could not find Nathan on either census in Delaware county. So I am thinking perhaps there may be other records I could access but have no clue whaere to go. Hello: I remember someone telling me that there was a hospital on "Rockaway" somewhere in Queens county. I don't know what Rockaway is though, maybe a street. But anyway, this hospital has a building where the nurses live, and it is named the Silver Building after my g.g.grandfather, Hyman Silver. Does anyone know what this hospital is called and where it is located? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Josh Brown _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com

Hello, After being sick most of the winter,I have just returned to the list. In the event there are now new subscribers I would like to post my PEASTER family again. My ggrandmother was Amanda Malvina PEASTER, b. April 1831 in Nassau, Renssalaer Co. NY. She and her sister Sarah married brothers, James Harvey and Hiram SMITH. They lived in Hancock, Berkshire Co. New York. Wadhams Genealogy, pub. 1913 gives the name as DePeyster, however I question that because the author gave no source for her information. A bio of James Harvey SMITH, says that Amanda's father was John PEASTER, and HIS father was Isaac PIESTER. Any suggestions or clues would be very much appreciated. Thank You, Margaret in NV
