I am trying to find the birthplace and the names of his parents and their birthplace, for my paternal grandfather Johan Bergqvist, born December 18,1868. He emigrated from Oslo May 24, 1889. Those records show he was from Wermland, Sweden, going to New York. In America, his first name was John, middle name was August, and the last name was spelled Bergquist.
