I was hoping that someone could help me locate a person in Liverpool around 1900. (Was there a census around then) I am searching for information regarding a Norwegian named John Albert Henrichsen, b. 1851. I have located him in the British Census in 1881 through FamilySearch, where he works as an interpreter for a German called Emel Wilhelm L. Koplin. This Mr. Koplin was probably running some kind of inn or hotel located at 1&2 Kent Square, Liverpool, Lancashire. In the 1881 census the Norwegian is registered as John A. Henricksen, please note the spelling. According to information passed on in the family, John Henrichsen should have been running a hotel for emigrants in Liverpool in the end of the 1800. He seem to have returned to Norway around 1901 or 1902. All and any information regarding John and his activities in Liverpool would be appreciated. Regards, Aud Sandbu
