    1. [GEN-NORDIC] Elizabeth Frederickson from Kvindherred, Hordaland, Norway(?)

    3. I am trying to trace Elizabeth Frederickson (possibly Fredericsdtr). She came to America in 1862 or 1863 arriving only with her daughter Carrie (Possibly Kari). She left with a husband possibly named Knud who died at sea also one or two other children died at sea. I have a strong suspicion they are from Kvindherred, Hordaland, Norway. Possibly on or near a farm Huuse Aasevig, another farm name possibility is Tveit. The IGI shows a Lizabeth Fredriksdtr marries Knud Knudsen 13 April 1857. Their daughter Kari was Christened 6 October 1861. Elizabeth arrived in America poor and became housekeeper for my great great grandfather Jonas Omundson Jorstad. Is there anyone with a bygedbok that could check this. Thanks Garry Husum

Thanks Garry Husum > I advise you to go here: http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/WebFront.exe?slag=vis&tekst=meldingar&spraak=e and post your query on the forum, you'll get in touch with a lot more Norwegians from that area.
