    1. [GEN-NORDIC] CD-Emigranten. Help!

    3. I'm trying to figure out where in Sweden Matilda and Erik A. Ström lived prior to their emigration to the USA. Anyone out there that have the CD-Emigranten and want to see if any information is available? This is what the Ellis Island records tell: Matilda Strom and Erik A. Strom arrived September 24 1897. At that time Matilda was 28 years old and Erik 34. Their port of departure was Copenhagen City, Copenhagen, Denmark and the ship's name "The Amerika". In the ship manifest I find the word Malmö written but do not know if this mean this is where they left Sweden. Their names would in Swedish be written Matilda (or Mathilda) Ström and Erik A. (probably August) Ström. I believe Erik's occupation to be tailor and that the couple was married in Sweden. Matilda's maiden name was Kjellman. I would be grateful for any assistance. -- Saluton, Knut TTT norvegia: http://home.online.no/~knklaveh/index.cfm Retposxto: [email protected] (legota cxiumonata) Nifonov no longer possessed a left leg, but he only discovered it on the following day.
