Look at the Ellis Island ship manifest in the upper right-hand corner and you will see Malmø. I suspect, without knowing for sure, that CD-Emigranten also said Malmø. I've noticed that by 1897, it was common for a passenger ship to depart from Copenhagen, for example, and make additional stops at Malmö, Göteborg, & Oslo before continuing on across the North Atlantic to New York. That Malmø notation on that page may be there to indicate where those passengers boarded. > there are data bases of Danish migrants too i Dk http://ddd.dda.dk/ > http://ddd.dda.dk/ddd_en.htm > or http://www.emiarch.dk/home.php3?l=en > > are the Swedish police or folkeregister exit records also available on or off line ? > > There is even a Liverpool transit file here http://www.lmu.livjm.ac.uk/DanishTravellers/ > > Hugh W You had previously asked about the "673". That appears to be an address of 673 3rd avenue which may be where they lived in Brooklyn and might have been added there in New York. Bob
