    3. My name is Bruce Huffine and I am trying to trace my mother's mother family line. I do not know a great deal about grandmother as she died in 1945 when I was six and there is no family alive that I know of who can provide additional information for me. Here is what I do know. Her name was Adele Von Kokeritz - there was an umlaut over the O. She was born in Norway. She married my Grandfather - Dr. Richard Baddour in approximately 1902 in Brooklyn, NY. My mother was born in 1903. Based on these facts, I estimate that grandmother was born in 1870-1880. She had a brother Reinhold who lived in Staten Island, NY and another brother Carl, O. who lived in Mount Vernon, NY. Carl had a son, Carl Jr who fought in WWI Census info for both Reinhold and Carl Sr. state that their mother was Norwegan and father German hence the Prussian sounding Von Kokeritz surname. The Ellis Island web site shows that Both Carl and Reinhold making frequent entries in to the USA. They were listed a US citizens. I can find no record of their original entry as aliens. Ellis Island does list Grandmother re-entering the country in 1908 under her married name of Adele Baddour. She was accompanied by my mother who was 4 at the time. The manifest lists her nationality as Norwegan with her home as Olso. My supposition is she went "Home" to visit her family and brought her daughter to meet them Grandmother was divorced in approximately 1909-1910 and remarried Viggo Jensen who was a Dane. Viggo represented Denmark in the 1896 and 1900 Olympics and won several metals. Anything you might know about the Von Kokeritz family and could share with me would be greatly appreciated. I would also appreciate suggestions as to where I should continue my search. Many thanks Bruce Huffine Stamford, CT 203-329-0511
