Hi Pat My name is Olav Gråthen - and I'am a descendant from Johan Hansen Graaten ..... I'm born in 1970 ... and presently living in Denmark. There is a lot of living family in Norway and Canada. I started with Genealogy a year ago ... so I don't have a lot of information ..... but then again ... It is the information age .... and my database is now containing abt. 3000 names ..... I've started mapping the living and information still remembered by people in Norway ..... and after that I will the go back in time. There is one of the son's to Johan Hansen Graaten that left for the US - to Grafton, ND ..... That was Hans Johansen Graten (Nov. 19 1853 - abt 1890 Grafton, Walsh, ND) married to Thea Nisldatter Spiten (Oct. 24 1857 - Nov 21 1919 Everett, Snohomish, Washington)(she had her mother with her Anne Dorthea Christiansdtr.
