Hei Inger ~ Thanks for the note. Yes, I believe that this is the correct person. We don't know much about Marit, except that she came from Aamodt in Østerdalen and later married Christoffer Evensen in the 1870's and came to America in the 1880's, settling near LaCrosse, Wisconsin. If anyone comes across more information on this particular Marit Oldsdatter, we would appreciate hearing about it. Tusen takk ! This might be the Christoffer Evensen you mentioned above. Our's was born in Løten and then moved to Stor-Elvdal/Åmot, before coming to the US in 1880 and settling in the area around LaCrosse, Wisconsin. But, I greatly appreciate your help.
