In a 1730 marriage record from the Cape (South Africa) the Danish placename "Grön Diep" is referred to. (Apparently this means "Grön-kanaal" in Afrikaans.) I think it's possible that the name "Grön Diep" is a dutchified version of the actual place name. I cannot find anything similar to "Grön Diep" on the internet. Does anyone perhaps immediately recognise what this place might be called today? All answers are much appreciated.
