I don't know Norwegian very well, but I assume you are looking for Motzfeldt's in Norway and Greenland. I have a few in my tree that lived in the late 1700's, namely Peter Motzfeldt, son of Ulrik Anton Motzfeldt and Birgitte Andrea Bull. He married Erneste Birgitte Margrete Stenersen at St.Thomas 24-SEP-1804. This is where the branch begins from the Motzfeldt's to the Stenersen lines. My mother's grandmother was Sina Stenersdtr. Hole and is our connection to the Stenersen's. If you think we are related, please email me back. My grandma can read norwegian and translate for me, unless you can post in english.
