According to his death record , Martin Thompson was born 1 Jan 1857 Skottsgard. Fathers name - Thorsden Thompson and mother Mary M.... This family emigrated about 1866. They entered US through Detroit but may have been in Canada prior to that time. Where is Skottsgard? Is it a farm name? Pat Holling
