But - on the other hand there are very few readers of the Swedish newsgroup, a website with a discussion forum with the possibility to put questions is actually more active than the newsgroup in Sweden, for some reason. If you have details about your ancestors that are precise enough to do research in Sweden, that is if you have found as much information as possible out of the American sources/census, vital records, church records etc, you could try posting there. The website is Anbytarforum (translates something like "exchange of ancestors") http://genealogi.aland.net/discus/ Just go in under the "Discussions in English" - section and follow the instructions. I'm quoting: Welcome to Anbytarforum - The Genealogist's Discussion-board, brought to you by Rötter - the e-zine of the Federation of Swedish Genealogical Societies. This is the place for discussions and debates among genealogists. Below you will find a list of different topics. Click on the one you are interested in. Suggestions for new topics are welcome. Queries about ancestors should be asked in the section Efterlysningar under the heading Landskap (province) in the Swedish section, if you know where they came from. If you do not know this, publish your query under the heading Emigrants. If you have a particular name you are curious about, enter your query under Släkter in the Swedish section. So, I would post to the SE-group and to Anbytarforum. Regards, Eva
