Does anyone have information on the family name BITTING in Scandinavia? I believe that this name originated in Germany, but I recently came across a reference to "Olav Bitting" who founded a monastery on the Isle of Man (http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Contrib/manx/parishes/keeills/mar1937.htm).
