However, you can read the Research Outlines for the states you have mentioned online in addition to the United States Research Outline. Read this one first. The 1910 census for your states does not have an index. The 1920 does have an index, so if you order a Index microfilm from the FHL you will be able to find the exact page and line to look at on your next microfilm. The librarians at the FHL will be helpful in making your selection. It is not a daunting task after getting your feet wet the first time. Then you will be the instructor for other researchers. Dave
